On April 19, 2000 three couples from CousinCouples.com visited the Montel Williams Studio in New York to be interviewed for an upcoming segment on cousin marriages.

The show aired on May 10, 2000.

Other guest appearances included the esteemed Martin Ottenheimer, author of Forbidden Relatives,
Jacqueline Krough, a genetics counsellor from New York City, and Robbi Ludwig, a psychotherapist, also from New York.

Delegate Heller, who co-sponsored the Maryland Bill to prohibit cousin marriages, also appeared on the show. As a result of what he learned, he has stated that when the bill comes up again, he would like to amend the bill to allow cousin marriages provided the couple receives genetic counselling.
