Hi everyone! My name is Melissa and I am a genetic counselling student in Canada!  I was hoping to get some input about couples experiences with the medical community (ie. Genetisicts, Family physicians, and Genetic Counsellors).  I'm interested in how you/your partner felt the attitudes towards your union was- ie. positive, negative, judgmental, etc.  The purpose is to get some information so we can try and provide better sessions and attitudes towards this population.  ANY feedback is welcomed!

Thanks so much,

Mel

what a great topic to cover! i think you'll find a few here who have talked to doctors or GC's about their relationship, but i think most probably haven't. seems like i remember over the years tho that most have positive experiences when they do! i hope people will open up and share their experiences with you.

(as for me, my children were from a previous marriage, so we never had to cross that bridge)
