Marriage Illegal... Health Insurance?

Recommended Posts

We are first cousins living in WA state where it is illegal for first cousins to marry. We also are self-employed and need affordable health insurance. (And we need it. I have a chronic illness.) Have any of you managed to get your cousin covered as a partner if not married? I'm not sure if the health exchange policies will go for that, but I'm trying to find out now. I'm afraid two individual insurance policies might be $1400-$2000+ per month, but maybe a family policy might be cheaper...

Hello! My husband (1st cousin) and I have been married 7 years. We have decided to go forward with trying to grow our family using donor sperm. I must admit to feeling great guilt on the subject; I don't want my own choice to accept the consequences of our taboo relationship to be forced on our children. I worry for them! May I ask about other parents and how they traverse this aspect of childbearing? I want to avoid imposing shame whilst not setting them up for harassment.

I want to get married to my cousin. He is 23, I'm 19 and we live in TN half the year and NY during the summer months. Would it be possible for us to get married?
