We are all related...

Each of us has millions of distant cousins. My belief is that most Americans are tenth cousins (or closer) to every other American. Some geneticists believe that everybody on Earth is at least 50th cousin to everybody else.

50th cousin?  Well I'm going to go ahead and say it's closer than that  :cheesy:

Than number would include a population of ancestors 2^50 (guessing - could be 49 or 51 but too lazy to do the actual math) - that's a big darn number.  Indeed, it's more people than have ever lived and likely ever will live on this planet.  In the whole history of the human race, there have probably been fewer than 20 billion people, so 34th cousin is probably the farthest any person is from another.  :tongue:
