Wanted to share an interesting article packed with STATS!

Recommended Posts

This brief article has a laundry list of facts and statistics about cousins who marry- again, proof of the exaggerated assumption that potential reproductive risks (though they do exist) and an indictment that it is more common than most people expect, particularly on a global scale, and certainly throughout history (for example, this tid-bit: "...it is estimated that as many as 80% of the marriages in human history have been between first or second cousins.").

I like the article because it is impartial and factual, though links to their sources sometimes dead-end.

Check it- do these stats seem about right to you?

The writer was surprisingly very well versed in the facts. I'm sure she found a few of them here at cousincouples.com. Kudos to the author: her research was meticulous and she expertly made her case.
